My Expedition has will not start at least once per week. When this occurs it will crank over indefinately but not start. The car has done this 6 times over the past 2 month. Prior it was not an issue. It starts about 20 times fine over the cours of the week and then around the 21st time or so it will crank over but not run. Once I let it sit for about 10-15 minutes it and crank it over it will fire over immeadiately and start great for another week. I have replaced the fuel filter. I also had all of the spark plug coils and wires replaced. And put a new battery in it. The car otherwise runs fantastic I just never know when I am going to be stranded for 10-15 minutes. Could this be a fuel pump? Or more likely an electrical problem. Any ideas?

It could be either. WHat you need to do the next time it happens is check to see if the engine is getting spark and fuel. Here are the how to's for checking both. CHeck them and let me know which one is missing.

Let me know what you find. It could be something as simple as the fuel pump relay. Let me know.
