Today I was working on my escort bypassing a dumb anti theft system in the car. The battery in the car was totally dead so I used a battery out of my truck to see if I had bypassed the system right and could get the car to start. The car started and ran fine, so I charged up its original battery and put it back in and tried firing it up again. When I turned the key to the start position there was a slight delay before the starter finally kicked in and it turned over. I thought that was weird so I turned the car off and tried starting it again except this time nothing at all happened. The starter wont crank at all, nor does it make any noise when I turn the key to start. I'm thinking either my ignition switch went out or my starter relays are bad. Can you think of anything else it might be?

Hello sounds like the anti theft device is still in operation. Remove the steering cover and check to see if the starter wire was cut at the ignition switch harness to accomodate the device. If so rejoin it. Update us on another solution if its not remedied.
