1995 Ford Crown Victoria 4 cyl Automatic

I have a 95 contour 4 cyl. The problem with my car is that when I'm driving sometimes the car start doing some weird move like if the car want it to switch to anothe gear, so I have to play with the gear until is stop doind it. Sometime I have to put my car in (N) because the car take's it as (D). I hope is not the Transmission people have told me that it could be bad synchronisation in the gear.

If it was a manual transmission, then you would worry about syncro's, not an automatic. What do you mean that when in neutral the car thinks it's in drive? If that is the case, maybe when you put it in Drive, it may be second gear.
