1996 Ford Bronco Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a 1996 Ford Bronco and today I notice a lot of white smoke coming at of the tailpipe, a burning smell that went away a little when I turned off the heater, and the engine temperature got hotter a lot faster than normal. When I checked the coolant level, it has gotten really low in the last month and a half since I last check it. I have asked a few friends about this and have gotten several answers ranging from a blown head gasket, to having to replace a heater core. If you could please give me some idea what I'm dealing with I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi there,

Thank you for the donation.

The white smoke and smell is a sign of coolant in the combustion chamber being burnt, I would get a Co check done of the cooling system, this is a simple chemical test that will detect Co in the cooling system, if present this is a sure sign of head problems.
