I want to put a set of headers and a true duel exhaust on this truck, but I must maintane the emissions, can I just put a cat. On each of the headers as long as all the sensors are hooked up and still pass. Right now the stock exhaust has two cats going into one pipe. Any help you can give I am greatful.

Well you need to find out if you have 3 or 4. You could definately run o2s in this system. All you have to do to put in the o2 sensors is drill a hole in the pipe and weld in a 7/8 nut (or they make a o2 plug) and the o2 will screw right in. The key thing is where to mount them in the exhaust. If they are heated o2 then placement is not that critical but if they are not you will have to mount them as far towards engine as possible. The tricky part will be if your truck has 3 o2s, where to put the third one. You would want to put in 2 cats, to even out back pressure. I dont know if putting the third behind 1 cat converter, if that will be enough for it to read correctly. Hope this helps. Feedback is greatly appreciated. Keep up on this post and we can get another opinion from the other guys. Just add something to it everyday to keep it fresh.
