1989 Ford Bronco 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual

Ive got a 1989 ford bronco II. And we tore it down to put a new head gasket on the driver side. It was runnin good other than the water in the oil. But once we put it back together it wont fire. I put everything back right. So I thought it might have been the coil went bad and changed it but still nothing. Its got fire comeing into the coil but none comeing out. I thought it might would be the pick up coil in the distributor but I changed the whole distributor and still nothing. Have any ideas? Any help is greatly apprichiated.

The easiest thing to do is take it to a nationally recognized parts store and have them scan it for you. Most will do it for free, so there is no money out of pocket.

Let me know what you find.

Joe

PS: I miss the older vehicles too.

Eh joe this is tony again. I just wanted to let you know that me and my dad finally figured out what was wrong with that bronco II. It was just a blowed fuse in the instrument panel. Thanks anyways for all the help.

Scratch that. I was partially right. But can you tell me where the distributor gets its fire from? According to the book I got it says its supposed to be a red wire with a light green stripe. But its dead. And if you try to jump around it it acts like its dead shorted. Im begining to wonder if the computer has done got blowed. What you think?

That is the correct wire. If dead, have the computer checked.
