If you can try a known good battery. If it is old save yourself some future headache and replace it, even if it does not fix this issue.
The cables can be corroded inside the insulation causing a voltage drop. Check them for green stuff.
Starter could be tired. Most parts houses can check that also.

Good luck and let us know. :)

Suggested Repair

Replace the worn starter and the loose battery terminals. If cranking is still sluggish, test the battery and inspect the cables for internal corrosion and voltage drop.

Conversation Summary

A 1993 Ford Aerostar with 130,000 miles cranked sluggishly for several days, then only clicked and would not start. The battery passed a load test, the terminals were loose, and the solenoid engaged. An expert suggested trying a known-good battery, checking cables for hidden corrosion, and testing the starter. A shop replaced the starter and the loose terminals, after which the van cranked normally.
