Engine not starting properly

Turn on key action doesn't turn on check engine light and car cannot start. To activate check engine light (possible ECM) I have to depress and release brake pedal several times and/or shift transmission stick from P position and back. When I get check engine light on car starts perfectly without any problems.

Hi,

Based on the description, it sounds like a weak connection. Have you checked to make sure the battery terminals are both clean and tight?
