There seems to be an issue with fuel getting from the tank to the engine. I have replaced the fuel filter, the fuel pump, spark plugs, ignition coils, and the fuel pump inertia switch. Also checked the fuel pump fuse and relay, the fuel injector fuse and relay, all of which seem to be in good order. Engine will start when starting fluid is sprayed directly into the air intake but shuts off within seconds when starting fluid gets burned up. What could still be missing here?

Hi JJGilliam,

Let's start with seeing what the fuel pressure is at the rail. There is a test port on the rail that your can attached a fuel pressure gauge. Should be around 30 PSI with the key on and running at idle. However, I suspect you are not going to have pressure or very little, which means your fuel is not getting to the rail. If it getting to the rail then you issue is most likely the fuel pressure regulator which controls the pressure to the injectors. Below are the steps to replace this.

If you do not have pressure at the rail, then your fuel is being blocked somewhere prior. At that point, you need to trace your lines back to the tank and see where you have fuel. Clearly you are on the right path as you found it is a fuel issue with spraying starter fluid. Now you just need to find where you have fuel and where you don't. Then you will find the issue. Always start with the rail and go backwards.

Let me know what you find and we can go from there. Thanks
