Hello good Samaritans,

Two issues suddenly manifested, the automated door locks only open when switch is pressed cannot close when switch is pressed on the main driver side switch controls nor on the individual door switches.

The windows do not respond to switch controls except for passenger window and driver rear windows on opposite sides are w working in alternate Cris crossing while other sides have no power to door switches.

The sudden onset happened when I hard wire the dash cam to battery positive and fused dome lights 12-amp fuse in main fuse box with a mini piggyback fuse holding the dome fuse and a 5-amp fuse.

did I create a short by looping positive side to positive? The cam dash camera is grounded to left panel body ground.

I checked all fuses, no blown fuses in main fuse distribution box and under dash fuse box. Use the simple handy dandy test light to ground.

I also heard a swishing sound coming from the injectors diagnostic toll said in "pending" code p0301 miss fire on cylinder 1 but in dtc. It maybe and intermittent issue which was suddenly apparent for the first time.

It seems ok by sound check; Now I had replaced the injectors 5 months ago I used di electric grease on the O rings to insert injectors to fuel rail.

I check injector fuse 15amp it is ok lights up fine and gentle tapped and rocked the relays nothing happened.

Observations: cam dash camera is unrelated and fuel injector is a separate issue.

In Spain you cannot be a doctor until you chose a practical trade like automotive, carpentry, pluming reason being human body is a 4-dimensional organic biological machine with a formless body called the soul it cannot be seen yet its intelligent and all-knowing a doctor is no different from a plumber auto-mechanic and a carpenter. The only difference is that a doctor can gravely hurt a human being, am glad I chose not to be a doctor.

In touching cars and pondering their science and wonderment, I have discovered that the machine has its own consciousness personality and loves you when you care for it. We know or think objects like machine cannot feel they are not alive, yet my discoveries tell me they start out as an idea when they take form as the car, they are infused with the elements of the earth, so they too take on a live vibration.

Master mechanics have you experience this phenomenon too?

Hi,

I need a little more information. First, the door lock actuator motors are powered directly. When you select lock or unlock, the switch itself provides a ground path to actuate the motor.

If you look at the pics below, it shows the wiring schematic for the door locks. Also, it shows the ground location for the main driver's door switch. Note this switch is related to both door locks and windows.

With that being said, since you are having trouble with both windows and locks, I suspect the switch has failed. However, before jumping to conclusions, I need you to check the ground (black wire with white tracer), behind the left kick panel. I have a feeling it has failed.

Here is a link you may find helpful:

Do this and let me know what you find.

Hello Joe,

This help me to delve into it deeply here is what I found.
The main harness to the doors was found by unplugging the connector by trial and error until zero power to door came to a halt.

Check power to the main switch driver side and ground using a power probe on driver side first. The connector to the motor was disconnected then plugged it in drive door works.

Observed driver read door intermittently works when I bang the motor arm region it moves up and down with stop and go does not close all the way.

Check the switch power ground its readings normal however the mail switch moved up and down with stops; the main switch did not work until I banged the arm on the panel.

The passenger rear door and window work from the main switch and locale switch.

The front passenger works sometimes with tiny movement from the main switch on the panel side local switch unresponsive till I bang the arm rest region where motor regulator lives it then works.

I had swapped the rear door switches it works with opposite doors all switches are in working order it looks like a motor regulator on the passenger front and on the left rear door motor regulator is going bad too, perhaps bad ground wore out commutators and contacts. Perhaps I can fix it with buying any units.

Can I open the regulator on the motor and replace the worm motor inside instead of buying the whole unit?

Hi,

When the window stops, does the motor turn off or continue running which would indicate a possible gear issue?

As far as taking the motor apart for repair, I'm not sure if the internal gears are available. Have you checked to see if they are?

Let me know.

Hello Joe,
,
Yes, motor turns off in mid action it stops I have to bang it to get it to work. I have not seem worm motors on eBay nor Amazon so I don't know if I can fix. However inspecting the original motor inside the motor regulator, I might be able to fix it, restoring contact with commutators and cleaning oxide inside with sand paper. The switches are all working confirmed by swapping them.

That sounds like a good plan. Let me know if that takes care of the issues. Also, make sure to pay close attention to the connectors making sure they are tight and free of corrosion.

I will watch for the results.

You are very welcome. Also, I'm not too far away. LOL I'm in PA (just on the opposite side of NJ), and yep, it's cold.

Take care of yourself and let me know what you find when you get the chance.

Take care,

Joe
