Door Locks not working

The power locks quit working; the driver side door lock/unlock button does not work neither does the passenger. I checked the fuse the fuse was not blown, but whoever had the car before me put in a fuse larger than what it's supposed to have so I assume they kept blowing fuses. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Also Is there anyways to bypass the original circuit? Where maybe I could run power to a toggle switch (or original lock/unlock button) then to the actuator. Thank you in advance.

Hi,

As far as running a toggle, it won't work. There are a few relays that are powered and then send power in different directions based on request.

As far as the fuse is concerned, on the schematic, it shows a 30-amp fuse. If something larger is being used, replace it with the correct size.

Here is what we need to try. Put the correct fuse in it and see if it fails. If it does, we are going to start at the switches and disconnect them one at a time to see if the fuse still fails.

I attached the wiring schematic below for your reference. If you haven't already, check the relays. Here is a link that explains how it's done:

Let me know what you find.

Joe

See pics below. Note: I cut the schematic in half to make them readable for you. I did overlap them so you can follow from one to the next.
