Hello. I have a 1996 stratus that is cranking but won't start. It slowly started intermittenly and has now taken over. I had these issues about 5 months back and it turned out to be a bad crankshaft position sensor. The car is acting the same way again and I think it is the same sensor. Is this a common issue with this car? Any help is much appreciated. Thank you

HI castaed and welcome to 2carpros
Disconnect a sparkplug wire or 2 ground it and have helper crank engine over-do you have a snapping blue spark-if not check the CPS again

I checked the spark and it was fine. So I replaced the CPS. It turns on but when it wants to. Although I noticed when the car is cranking it is alos shaking. Maybe like a cylinder is off or it's not getting gas. I can hear the pump turn on. I also did the fule pressure release up front by the A/C lines and it spit out fuel. I'm at a loss.

Check the fuel pressure with a fuel pressure gauge this is the only way to tell if its producing the correct fuel pressure-
