1995 Dodge Stratus car wont start

1995 Dodge Stratus 6 cyl Wheel Drive Type unknown Automatic 180000 miles

I bought this car last saturday, and drove it home, I filled it up with gas and it died, I would push the gas down nothing would happen, the car would still run for a few seconds but crapped out, now the starter will turn but the car wont start, I replaced the battery and fuel filter, and I cant think of anything else that would cause this, is this a fuel problem
