1998 Dodge Intrepid knocking and killing the battery

When I first seen this car it had run hot and killed the battery. got a new batt. and changed the oil and it started knocking or clicking. then it killed the battery again and would not start, even with a jump. but rhe lights aND EVERYTHING CAME ON. What do I do?

Running it hot shouldn't have killed the battery. It does sounds like there is a draw on the battery. Check to see if that is the case. Let me know what you find. Here are directions:
