Did it crank and not run, or did it not crank? If it acts up again, watch the headlights or dome light to see how bright they are when trying to crank the engine. If they go very dim, suspect dirty or corroded battery cables. If they stay bright, and there is one loud clunk from the starter but it doesn't turn the engine, suspect worn solenoid contacts. New ones are 20 bucks, but most people just replace the whole starter motor. This problem always starts out being intermittent, and gets progressively worse over many weeks.
