The Chilton manual I have is pretty vague. On the 4.7L V8, if your standing in front of the car, follow the exhaust manifold down to where it starts to go under the car, that is where the sensor is located, under the car. You will have to crawl under and unscrew it. It is held on with a single bolt with a three pin electronic connector on top. The sensor itself is pretty much just a magnet. It will be close to where the transmission mounts to the engine. Hope this helps.
