Truck just sputtered and stopped, and would not restart, not getting any power to coil or fuel to cylinders. Coil and fule pump only have power for a couple of seconds after turning the key on then nothing. I supect the ECM is bab but do not want to spend $300 if that is not the cause. I replaced rotor and cap with new and inspected spark plugs which were dry after repeated attempts to start the truck.

Open up the wiring harness at the ECM. You will find a white wire with a red tracer. Aprox a foot down the wire is a splice. They are known for corrosion problems and shutting both fuel and spark off.

Let me know what you find.
