1997 Dodge Dakota Truck not starting or not running without

The truck has been hesitating or loosing power for a few months and now the truck will not always start and when it does it will often smell like it is flooded. Not sure if the problem lies with the computer or with the fuel pump or somewhere else.

When the problem occurs, have a helper crank it, while you visually check for spark at the plugs. If you have spark everywhere, use a gage and check fuel pressure.
