The relearn procedure is real complicated but I think you can handle it. Drive at highway speed with the engine warmed up, then coast for at least seven seconds without touching the brake or gas pedals. That's it.
The signal for the computer to do the relearn procedure is high manifold vacuum for seven seconds. The only way that can occur for that long is by coasting. That also tells the computer that your foot is off the gas pedal and the throttle position sensor is reading the lowest it ever will. The computer memorizes the voltage from the sensor at that point. From then on, whenever it sees that same voltage, it will know it must be in control of idle speed.
