I have a 2001 dodge caravan, it got to -40 where I am in alaska and my car froze uncommon temperatures for here it got warm back up to 50 degrees positive and my car had thawed out Mechanic had me try to start my car when it was warm for a couple of days to make sure my car had unfrozen, it started right up drove it a little then husband did and it died and took awhile to start again. Mechanic put heet in to make sure no water was in line due to the cold weather now it tiries to start but it doesn't we jump started the car and it still won't run. What could be wrong with the car? Thanks Jennifer

Could be missing fuel or spark-do below to determine what's causing it-

Get a starting fluid or ether and spray into the carb or the throttle body on an EFI. Did it start and die? If not disconnect a sparkplug wire or 2 and ground it to the engine -have helper crank engine over-do you have a snapping blue spark? If so-you have a fuel related problem, check the fuel pressure to rule out the fuel filter/fuel pump/pressure regulator and listen to the injector/s are they pulsing or hook up a noid light. No snapping blue spark continue to troubleshoot the ignition system-power input to the coil/coil packs, distributor pick-up coil, ignition control module, cam and crank sensors- Note: If it doesn't apply disregard it
