1998 Dodge Caravan computer/sensor issues

I have a 1998 Dodge Caravan and when I was driving home last week and the odometer and gear panel started to flash, when I got home and parked I took out the key opened the door and the door chime was going off as if the key were still in, then when I shut the door my headlights started to flash. Its done this 3 times in the last week. I took it to a shop the mechanic said they could do nothing till it was having the problem while they were testing, which is a long shot. Any advise??

Hi this seems like a body control module.bcm
you can try disconnecting the neg batt cable for 15 mins or so , this may force the bcm to refresh itself and correct this prob .if not then go to the dealer they can get a better look into your ecm and bcm and make adjustments. that non chrsyler scanners can,t. good luck
