1997 Dodge Caravan cant get started

I took my kids to school and came home parked the van around 900am went back out at 200pm to go get my kids from school and the van would not start what would cause it to do that I still cant get to start it trys but it boggs right back out if you could help me

If it starts for a few seconds then dies, chances are the fuel pump is going bad, or you have a clogged fuel filter. Start by checking fuel pump pressure.
