I have a 1995 Dodge grand Caravan with a 3.3 V6 that jumped time. I have replaced the timming chain and gears. I have the timming marks set as they should be pointing at one another. To get the marks alignment right it fills like there is valve tension on the cam like it is trying to open valves someplace in the engine. Could I have the timming 180 degrees off or just a few degrees? When trying to put the cam in the right position it does fill like I am compressing a vlave but if I turn the cam to the left or right it fills like it comes off a valve. What is the fastest way in to check where the cam is set since #1 cylinder is in the back of the engine. I made sure that things were set before I removed the timming gears and chain when I started.
