Engine timing needs to be reset after replacing distributor. ( Removed cycinder connected to distributor and started the engine before seating it correctly) Just wondering what I should expect to pay from a mechanic or dealership. Thanks

By improperly seating the gear at the bottom of the cylinder attached to the distributor, I ended up spending $40 at a mechanic to have it re-set. If you are trying to replace your distributor and the bolt is tough to get to, just close everything back up and run the vehicle until it's in an easier postion instead of removing the column. Sounds like common sense now, but when you've never done it, you could make the mistake I did.
