Intermittent crank, no start

I would replace the EGR valve.

What would make you say this? I had already taken the EGR out (earlier in our conversation) cleaned all the carbon and lubed to make sure it wasn't sticking. I know if it sticks open it will create a vacuum leak.

The pats that stick, you have no access to at all.

Every time you clean it, it starts and runs fine until it sticks again.
