Engine not starting up?

My son bumped a car in the parking lot, can't see any damage to his car, dent about the size of a baseball in the other car. Air bags went off which suprised me because he didn't hit the car that hard. Anyway, airbags and SRS module have been replaced, engine cranks, will not start and shifter is locked in park. Have to use the shift lock next to the gear shift to get it into neutral.

Is there a inertia switch that cuts off fuel? Am I missing something?

Brake lights are working, I have spark, but apparently no fuel. Fuses are all good.

I was involved in a minor accident a few days ago. Same thing happened to my 96 civic. Both bags deployed, car wont start, and the shifter is stuck in park.
Clwillia, How did you resolve these issues? I understand that I will need to replace both bags and the module.
But how do I get the shifter to release from park?
And what did you do to get the car to start? Mine turns over but wont start.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as this is my daughters car and I need to get it fixed for her.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. We eventually found 2 bad fuses in the drivers side kick panel. I believe they were the two far right fuses on the first and second row.

We actually had to pull every fuse and test them with an Ohm meter to see which ones were bad. Once I replaced those 2 fuses, the control module, clock spring and the 2 air bags, car ran fine. It's still on the road today.

Total cost of my repair was about $150.

1996 Honda Accord 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 30 mpg miles

I have a 1996 Honda Accord 25th anniversery edition, and it will not start when it gets to cold or sits for a period of 8 hours or more. I got it tested and it said the oxygen sensor is bad so we replaced it and my engine light is still on and it will still not start. Please help?

My car will cranck and act as it will start but then eventually will just cranck. This only happens when sitting over night of for more than eight hours. When I got the code pulled it said it was the oxygen sensor and got it replaced I however, do not have the code for that?

My accord will not start for some reason. The ignition coil was really bad, so I replaced it. But the car still did not start. As soon as I start cranking the engine, the check engine light comes on and the code that it shows is P1382. I thought it could be the distributor that could also be bad. Replaced it but still nothing, All it dose is crank and only one spark plug wire shoots sparks. It cranks hard like it wants to start but only one cylinder is receiving spark and that is cylinder # 1. The timing belt is good and so is the compression of the engine. I also replace the wires but nothing. Can someone please help me I really need to fix my car. SO please help me. I will appreciate it so much.

Cap and rotor are good. I checked them when I replaced the distributor. I replaced the crankshaft position sensors that are located behind the crankshaft pulley. They are two sensors in one. But still nothing, still the same dose not start. Please can some one help me.

I just woke up one morning to start my car it refuses to start. I turn the ignition it cranks for some seconds and sounds as if it will start then stop. The fuel pump is okay. So is the fuel pressure. Fuel pressure regulator is okay too. The connection of all the six sockets to the injectors are okay because they were all checked. So we changed the brain box. The car starts after several cranking. But the rpm is very low and engine sound as if it mixing. And I noticed black smoke coming out of the tail pipe. Please what can I do?

The plugs are not wet but sooty and black. And it is all the six plugs. Though the replacement PCM is not new but it is okay. But the numbers written behind the replacement PCM are not the same with the faulty one. Though it is still for Honda accord 1996. But I do not know if it is for v6 or four cylinder. And is it possible the sooty plugs is caused by weak ignition coil?

When the weather is cold during the winter, my 96 accord hardly starts and u smell a little gas. And sometimes just doesnt start.I mean there is a little oil on my spark plugs that I cant stop, does anyone know what's the problem that in cold weather doesnt start?
