This van is bow overheating in 80 degree spring weather.

I replaced the thermostat, which would not open when I tested it twice in boiling water.

So with a new thermostat and no other symptoms (no leaks, no unusual color to the coolant) would it be conceivable that an engine with this mileage could run cooler with a new radiator? I thought radiators were replaced only when they were punctured or leaked.

What is your experience?

You can get it rodded out and flushed and you will get greater cooling effiecny also have the fins on the outside cleaned out, and it will run cooler.

Vehicles require routine maintenece to keep them operating, just like any vehicle.
