Engine Cooling problem
2005 Chrysler Town and Country Two Wheel Drive 87000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
If the radiator cap is not fully tightened can you drive this car without a major overheating to occur? If it doesn't over heat can it still loose fluid? If it looses fluid and the cap is still not fully tightened can it then overheat? Can over heating cause a leak in the radiator?

You could only drive SHORT distances before the car would overheat, the system was meant to be pressurized to raise the noil over point. If a cap is loose or even defective, you will loose coolant, If there is no pressure building up, it's unluckly to cause a radiator to leak...Unless somebody ignored the overheating and kept driving, then you are lucky if that's all that goes wrong!
