1997 Chrysler Town and Country car starts and then quits

My van once in a great while will start and then die. No matter how I try it will continue to do that and the guages won't come on either. Then after about 8 or 10 hours, it will start and work just fine until it feels like doing it again. They have tested it and it checks out just fine. Of course, the check is performed after it has sat and now feels like running. What is your guess as to what is wrong? My son thinks it could be the main board of the computers is being nasty to me.

When this happens, I need you to check for spark and fuel to the engine. One will be missing and I need to know which one it is to further diagnose what the problem could be coming from.

Check that and let me know what you find.
