1997 Chrysler Town and Country

When I go to start the van it doesn't want to idle or stay running. It starts then shuts off, like it's out of gas but there's gas in it. My husband drove it home with one foot on the gas and one on the brake. Then we parked it now everytime I try to start it, it dyes out will not stay running. Please help with some advice.

Thankyou for getting back to me. We took the van in and they said we need a new engine, that 2 of the cylinders are not working and they were shocked that the motor lasted that long 222,496 miles had it refurbished at 90,000 miles. So it looks like I'm gonna be on the market for a new car or suv.
