I HAVE A 1997 CHRYSLER LHS. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHERE THE FUEL PUMP IS LOCATED.

I want to know if you get to it through the trunk or does the fuel tank need to come off

Not familiar with this one check and see, if not it has to come down.

The fuel pump can be accessed via the trunk.If you lift the trunk carpet you will find an access panel just ahead of the well for the spare tire.I believe there are 4(four)nuts holding this panel down.NO NEED TO DROP THE TANK.

Another bit of advice.Get a Haynes manual for the car.It contains a lot of info.Should be about $15 - $17 at almost any auto parts store.
