My windshield wiper arm stop working on the passenger side removed the cover and pushed it back on the ball but still comes off does it need a clip or somthing

Check the other side should tell you what's securing it normally its a nut maybe it crossthreaded

have another look and it is sitting on a white ball I think I i will probably have to replace the whole arm
