Engine Performance problem
1979 Chevy Truck V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic unkown miles

i have a 79 scottsdale, with a 350 5.7 gas, 4bl carb. I just put the new carb on it, and set it right, or so I think, it also has a new fuel pump, spark plugs, battery, and wires. It seems to start fine, and run fine when I drive. But when I go at low speeds or sometimes when I idle, and slow down. It wants to just sink and die down, sometimes itll save itself, sometimes it wont.

If it has a heat riser check if its opening, also check if the choke plate is fully opening when engine at normal temp. Also try adjusting the idle speed

Check the fuel pressure if its within specs and also for a kinked fuel line, clogged fuel filter and fuel lines back to the tank-also test the PCV valve

Double check the adjustment of the A/F mixture and Curb idle speed
