I have a 98 Blazer. My dad tried to start the a/c clutch by hard wiring the a/c clutch to the fuse box. The a/c clutch engaged for a minute but then stopped. The Blazer was running at the time. After the Blazer was shut off and tried to restart there is not turn over. Was able to start it a few times with a screwdriver to the starter but now it's not starting like that either. It tries to start by shorting the starter but then dies. Does this have anything to do with the anti theft system? Please help.

Ok, first off, if you havent done so by now, undo what your dad did. Look to see where in the fuse box he attached the wires to, and try and isolate that circuit. Test each fuse to see if they are blown.
Most likely what happened is he bypassed the fuse by connecting to the hot side. What ever circuit he attached this hard wire to, probably fried a control or wire somewhere.
Good luck on fixing this, but hopefully a lesson was learned.
