I have 2004 taho with the 4.8. I'm loosing coolant internally but it is not going into oil pan. I assume the head gasket is leaking into the clynders. Is there any other possiblities.

if you dont see any leaks anywhere if the vehicle is parked and idling or running at 2000 rpms or lower for a period of time then it is leaking internally.

take off the radiator cap, fill it up with fluid and wait for it to go down and fill it back up, keep repeating till no more goes down and its up to the top. then start the vehicle and look for bubbles to appear. if no bubbles appear when the engine is cold OR when the engine is hot and the thermostat is open then you probably do not have a bad headgasket, if bubbles appear it is probably a leak internally.

also do you notice a green or white foam on the dipstick at the top or on the bottom of the PCV valve or oil cap?
