Electrical problem
1999 Chevy Suburban V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I tried starting my Suburban in park and all I get is a click. I think the battery is fine, because all accesories go on, door buzzer, etc. And it's only 1-1/2 years old. When I shift from park to Neutral it starts right up. Shifted back to Park, it started again. When Itried starting it today, nothing, not even in Neutral. COuld it be a solenoid or a relay? Any ideas?

Thanks

I would make sure your battery cable's are clean and tight and have your battery tested just to be on the safe side. Also do you have a multimeter to trace power?Have you checked all the fuse's?

I double checked the battery connections and everything is OK. I don't think it's an issue with the fuses, because they are either ok or not. If the fuse burned out, I wouldn't be able to start it and then be able to start it when it's in Neutral. That's why I think it may be a relay or a steering wheel shift lever selenoid.

I know what your saying about the fuse's I just said that because you said now it does nothing and it is possible the fuse could have blown after your start no start deal.I emailed you a trouble for the C and K model's for no start no click so hopefully you have one of those model's.I emailed it to your personal email so what model do you have C or K 1500 2500 etc?
