99 suburban will crank but wont start. Had this problem before and went crazy trying to fix it. Replaced fuel pump 3 time over the 3 yrs. I owned it. Finally replaced crank sensor and had no problem, for a year. Now car will start and go for a bout 10 miles and shut down. Then wont start. Wait 15 minutes then starts and dies. Any ideas? Could it be crank sensor again?

When the problem occurs, if it cranks good but won't start, have a helper crank it while you visually check for spark at the plugs. You can carry a known good spark plug or spark tester, then just pull a plug wire, place tester in the boot, ground metal part of tester to metal part of engine, watch for spark.

If you have spark everywhere, use a gage and check fuel pressure. Key on engine off, 60--66 psi for spider fuel system. Sometimes the fuel poppets need cleaning. Any applicable trouble codes?
