I have a 1999 chevy suburban over a 100000 miles I was having problems with my battery at first I changed out the battery and now it cranks but it wont catch. Today I was able to start it by using starting fluid but it runs for 15-20 seconds then cuts off. I dont know what to do next

Hi:
If it starts with starting fluid, then it's not getting gas. Start by checking fuel pump pressure. Chances are either the fuel filter is plugged or the pump is bad. You can rent or borrow a fuel pressure gauge at most nationally recognized parts stores.

Let me know what you find.
