If you are replacing the pump, you should be able to do it. You will need to drain the pump, remove the hoses to it, remove the serp belt, remove the bolts holding into the engine, and it will come off. Reverse the sequence to replace it. Once the new one is on, fill it with fluid, securely raise the front of the vehicle, and with the engine off, turn the steering from left to right to bleed the system. Refill the pump as necessary until it no longer needs fluid added after turning the steering.
As far as you doing it. If you have never done it, allow about 4 or 5 hours. A shop should be able to do it in about 1.5 hours.
