P0342 CAM Sensor Replacement?

That VIN says it's a 97 with a 5.7, made in Canada.

Don't confuse turning that distributor with setting timing. It does not. The timing is predetermined and moving the distributor only takes the primary and secondary ignition out of synch with each other along with the injectors.

I have a 01 silverado v6 truck replaced the engine with a 1997 v6 blazer engine the cam sensor is different what can I do. I replaced the engine of a 2001 chevy truck v6 with a 1997 blazer 4.3 l v6 identical. Engine same thing so I put it in the 2001 chevy connected everything but when I came to connect the sensor of the cam it was different what adaptions can I do on the cam sensors?

I looked at acdelco cam sensor. Blazer 95--05, Silverado 1500 99--06, same cam sensor according to the online parts book. You can get cam sensor connector with pig tail wires from same online parts book. Just look at them, find the connector you need. I site is rock auto.
