No, no re set. They are fired on start up by the signal sent to the computer from the distributor pick up. It looks at the first 200 rpm to get the truck running. Check it for 800-1500 ohms and on cranking should produce an ac voltage.

It was a common failure.

No you just need to take the top off but that still may not cure it it should be professionally scanned so they can see if all your sensors are working correctly and have the correct voltage. That spider thing is about $500

I had the computer scan the only code show is po305 and that code is cylinder number 5 misfire detected, the sparkplugs and sparkplug wires are good and the compression on number 5 cylinder is 195 psi.

Do what you want like I said a pro should check this because there are certain other sensor or low fuel pressure that can cause this along with outher things. I have no further suggestions
