These suck to do,you have to remove both valve covers and the fuel rails.the injectors are down in the head, you need a special tool to remove the injectors or you cant remove them. and you have to clean the injector bore and each fuel line, they get deposits of rust that has to be cleaned.this is the tool you will need,

I fill my tank every 2 weeks. My question is: am I harming my engine by adding a bottle of Heet with each fill up? Will repeated use of this product harm my engine? I had been having injector problems, I put injector cleaner in, and used a bottle of Heet. I just want to be sure my injectors are clean.?

The pour in additives are only somewhat effective. If you add it only do it every 4 tank fulls or so. It will affect it in the long run.

Are the injector problems still present? Why injectors?

I was getting a spark knock noise. And ask what I could do to get rid of it. And I was told to clean the injectors. At first I thought it was a knock sensor an had a friend scan it. And they didn't show up. Plus is what the dealership told me.?

When driving the truck it would suddenly lose power and stop, like I was running out of gas. After it sat for awhile I can dirve it again. I replaced all 4 O2 sensors and the fuel filter.

I was told I could try adding BG44K to the gas tank and this would clean the fuel injectors. A mechanic said he uses transmission fluid instead and it works just as well.

When the problem occurs, have a helper crank it, while you visually check for spark at the plugs. If that check out, use a gage and check fuel pressure. Some of the national brand autostores used to loan out a fuel pressure gage, if you don't have one. Don't let gas spray all over a hot engine. Safety is your responsibility.

To check for spark, you can use a known good spark plug or spark tester, carry it in the glove box, it won't get hot. If the engine is hot, wear gloves and/or use a spark plug wire puller. Pull the plug wire, stick tester in the boot, ground metal part of plug/tester to metal part of engine. Engine cranking, watch for spark. Let us know what you find.

Pull the vacuum hose off the fuel pressure regulator and check if it's wet inside. If it is, the regulator is leaking fuel into the intake manifold and needs to be replaced.

Here's a photo from Rock Auto. The red arrow is pointing to the hose connection on the regulator.

Fuel injectors? It should have eight of them. Since you can't see them, it is probably a central fuel injection system. The are actually poppet style injectors, housed inside of the intake manifold.

You need to remove the upper intake, why would you want to replace all of them? If you have cold start running problems, try having them cleaned. The poppet nozzles are known to stick.

I just replaced the fuel pump on my truck and not it doesnt want to fire. I am getting fuel to the top of the upper intake manifold, but it doesnt seem to be going thru the injectors. Is there a reset or a code? Someone told me there is a sequence I can do with the key in the ignition.
