I have a 2003 Silverado and when the ac is on and idle there is a vibration, and when I accelerate this turns to a screeching noise I have replaced the belt and tensioner and still the problem persists, the High side and low side lines vibrate violently when this happend and will do in drive or park. Almost as if the compressor is trying to lock up any ideas?

we need to know what the pressures are in the ac system. High high side pressure over 250 will lock the compressor up and cause your problem. A bad fan clutch can cause high side pressure to be high.

I havent checked the high side pressure yet but I will dont thing the fan clutch is bad no over heating even when towing and can hear it and makes noise all the time even when cold, could it be the high side pressure switch? Just a thought. And how would I check the switch for proper operation? Thanks for all of the help
