In my 2000 Chevy Silverado, the engine won't start unless I spray it with carb-cleaner spray. After that, it will start, but once I shut it off I am back to square one. What should I do?

Hello,

You might have a faulty fuel pressure regulator.
It probably is not providing ideal fuel pressure or volume at start up.
That's why it only cranks unless you spray starting fluid.

Test the fuel pressure.
You should have 55-62 PSI of fuel pressure with the key on and engine off.

Here is a helpful video of how to check the pressure:

I have attached the diagrams for your reference.

Please let me know of any questions.

Thank you.
