I tried to start it and it wouldn't start. The truck wasn't getting fuel?

I have a 2000 Chevy pickup with a 5.3. I tried to start it and it wouldn't start. The truck wasn't getting fuel, so we changed the fuel pump, but that wasn't the problem. The fuel pump isn't even kicking in. I am wondering if you think it is an electrical problem or if you know what else it could be? We have checked all the fuses. Thank you!

Hello,

You might have a faulty fuel pump relay.
The relay is located in the junction box under the hood (see diagram).
Check to see if you are getting power to the relay, this will rule out faulty junction box or wire to the box.
If you have power to the relay then check the relay:

If the relay is good, then check to see if you are getting power to the fuel pump.

I have also attached the wiring diagrams for your reference.

Please let me know of any questions.

Thank you.
