1990 Chevy Pick-Up 2500, 5.7 Liter, No spark at Plugs, Spark from the Coil, Distributer Cap poles fried and groved. Died after going up steep long hill, Ran fine before, Not a problem in the past. I think it's probably the ignition module located in the Dist. Seems that it is sending a signal, but not the right one. It should be replaced along with the plugs, cap and rotor. Any thoughts?

If you're getting spark from the coil -best check the cap and rotor if its making good contact-it has to go thru there before it gets to the plugs-

Np spark at the coil-check coil, distributor pick-up coil and ICM
