I have a 1989 s10 blazer, 4.3L v6, 2WD Automatic. 222561 kilometers. Whenever I press the accelorator it seems to hesitate for a second before actually accelerating. Also sometimes usually when taking a corner the accelerator will not respond when being pressed and and slow downfor 3-4 seconds until it seems to catch and then go. I have had the muffler, exhaust, tailpip, cat convertor, fuel & oil filter, oil, spark plugs and wires replace within the last 3 months. What might be causing this?

Is it fuel injected or carburated? How's the oil pressure? Check the oil level. Did the truck do this before you had the above mentioned done? I know this question may be silly but I must ask--Is there enough gas in it? Don't get mad--just askin'. BTW you can check if it's injected or carburated by taking the air cleaner lid off and observing the thing in the middle of it. If the thing has 1 or 2 things that look like eggs in the middle and before the butterfly valve then it's injected;the thing is called a throttle body and the egg or eggs are the injectors. This system is a T.B.I. System ( Throttle Body Injection). If not then it's an old carburator. But I dought it. Let me know
