I have a 1989 s10 with a 2.5 and a 5 speed. I just replaced the clutch, slave cylinder & clutch master cylinder. After the repair the truck started and ran fine, it made a two hour drive then the next day it would start and run smooth for about 30sec then die like you just shut the key off. It will start right back up but does the same thing. It reads no coads. All wires that were unhooked when replacing the cluthch were hooked back up. Any ideas on what could cause this?

it has a new pump and filter, there not brand new but only a few months old. I can watch the injecton on top of the throtle body spray fuel while its running and while its dieing.

Check the crank and cam sensor for ohms. The resistance may be to high and not let it run. Or the map sensor or vacuum is bad to it.

What should the ohm reading be? For the cam and crank sensor?

Sorry I screwed up I thought it was a 99 not an 89. You don't have that stuff. Youi'll have to check your distributor to see if it's working correctly. As yo have a 2.5L engine you may have a bad reluctor in the distributor which in your case calls for replacement of the distributor. The reluctor cracks and it won't emit power to run the engine. But you should have that checked to make sure before attempting this yourself.
