My first problem is starting the vehicle, but it only happens occasionally.
When I get in and turn the key nothing happens, it acts as if I don't have the clutch depressed. I've had battery problems before, and I know this is different. When it was the battery it would make a clicking noise, or all the lights would go out; but this time it just acts like I'm not turning the key at all, it simply doesn't respond. However, if I just keep turning the key over and over, it will eventually start; it may take two turns, it may take twenty.
My second problem is with the clutch. It doesn't want to "grab" or whatever. I can let off the clutch pedal completely and it still acts as if it's in neutral. As with the first problem, it only happens on occasion. It seems to happen most often when taking off in cold weather, mud or snow.
I'm obviously going to take it to a shop soon, but I'd like to get some input on it first.
Thanks in advance!
