Hi,
I have a 1986 Chevy S10, and it runs great but it wont move. The clutch wont engage and I cant but it into gears. I try to but, it wont move into where its spose to go. The only way it will move is when I turn the truck off, then I put it into gear, and me pushing in the clutch, I turn it on and it jumps and takes off. When I let go of the clutch it shuts off right away.
Help please :(

Does the pedal feel normal? If it feels like it has hydraulic pressure, it could be a clutch failure. If the pedal feels soft, the hydraulics might be to blame.

Check the fluid level of the clutch master first. Look for any leaks at the master or slave cylinders. If possible, raise and support the vehicle and remove the cover off the slave cylinder. Have someone push in the clutch to see if it is traveling all the way. Look for leaks in the line from the master to the slave cylinder, those trucks had a problem with that
